Wonderful Wedding at The School House in Fairview, Pa

Man oh Man. It is NOT very often that I begin a wedding description like that. BUT, Chris & Jenn’s Winter Wedding at the School House in Fairview, Pa deserves it. There was not a dull moment all day long. This couple has to be the most hysterical and fun loving wedding we have ever served.

To begin with, Chris & Jenn hosted their wedding at the School House on Leap Day. A lot of joking about how many anniversaries they would be celebrating took place. Secondly, both of them kept us on our feet the entire time. Not in a bad way either, we couldn’t stop laughing because you never knew what was going to happen next. Because of the cold weather (It was literally below freezing that day) the entire wedding took place inside the venue. The first floor of the School House was set up for the ceremony to take place in front of the vintage teachers cabinet installed in the wall. The Groom kicked off the fun by entering to ‘Sexy and I Know It’ wearing leopard print stripper pants over his tux..which he of course teasingly removed at the end of his dance. The Bridal Party entered from the backstairs to the ‘Milkshake’ song. Erie DJ Entertainment expertly controlled the unique music selections by the newlyweds during the ceremony. The guests had a hard time calming themselves back down for the bride’s entrance after those fun surprises. To continue the fun, the couple had the most unique version of a Unity Ceremoney we’ve ever witnessed. The couple and their children combined their favorite candies into one dish. And, to wrap up the ceremony the bride dipped the groom during the first kiss! It was one of the most memorable ceremonies ever for us.

Following the lively ceremony the guests were ushered into the lower level of the venue for cookies and cocktails. Meanwhile, the bridal party braved the freezing weather as long as they could for some glorious outdoor photos on the property. The sky was a brilliant blue and the fluffiest white clouds dotted the horizon behind them. After those frigid but beautiful photos we made our way back in for some energetic reception celebrations! Erie Photo Booth was set up downstairs for this wedding at The School House in the bar area for the guests to enjoy. Dinner, Cake Cutting and Dancing all took place on the first floor which had been reset by the venue staff. The cake was adorable. It was topped by little wine cork newlyweds. And there was a groom’s cake previewing the bride passed out in the honeymoon suite. Every last detail perfectly represented the couple…down to the last song of the night…which I can’t really tell you here. It was just a touch inappropriate for nice company. Wink. I hope you enjoy browsing the images we captured of this winter wedding at the School House in Fairview, Pa!

Stunning Wedding at St. Peter’s Cathedral- Corey & Ashley

Stunning Wedding at St. Peter’s Cathedral- Corey & Ashley

Stunning Wedding at St. Peter’s Cathedral in Erie, Pa

Family was the thing that stood out most at Corey & Ashley’s Wedding at St. Peter’s Cathedral in downtown Erie, Pa. Although the cathedral was undergoing some remodeling, the wedding was still stunning. Because the wedding was in mid-autumn the couple chose a warm, vivid color palette full of oranges, reds, and yellows to bring the season to life. Both the ceremony and following reception at Caper’s Catering in Erie, Pa were decorated beautifully.

The bride got ready at her parents house surrounded by her loving family. Both of her sisters were in the bridal party as well as her sister in law. Our team was there to capture the memories and laughter. We met up with the groom at the church with his party filled with tons of family. There was just enough time for some photos of the groom’s dad pinning on his boutineer before the ceremony began. An elegant catholic ceremony followed with the proud father of the bride escorting his daughter down the aisle.

Following the ceremony, which we captured alongside Erie Videography, we traveled to Winter Green Gorge for formals with the bridal party and newlyweds. The scenery was breathtaking. Both photo and video worked side by side to document the moments. After we finished with formals we joined the team at Erie DJ Entertainment at Caper’s where the guests were already enjoying the cocktail hour. The DJ team had prepared a video slideshow featuring the couples journey through childhood and their relationship leading to this day. The video included some of the engagement photos we’d captured earlier in the spring. Grand Entrance, Cake Cutting, and First Dances were all filled with warmth and excitement. After the formal festivities the newlyweds celebrated into the night with their guests. It was an amazing day.

Elegant Erie Yacht Club Wedding- Stephen & Lauren

Elegant Erie Yacht Club Wedding- Stephen & Lauren

Stephen & Lauren

Elegant Erie Yacht Club Wedding in Erie, Pa

Stephen & Lauren planned their destination style Erie Yacht Club Wedding in the early fall before the colors changed. The warmth of summer still hung in the air. The couple met working in Texas and both had ties to Pennsylvania. Lauren grew up in Erie Pa and fell in love with the lakeshore as a child. An Erie Yacht Club Wedding was the ideal celebration for the couple. The couple’s parents were all very involved in the planning process. Especially the bride’s mom who did most of the planning leg work for them.

Because of the groom’s Jewish roots a stunning Chuppa was built out of rustic tree limbs and decorated with stunning florals in vivid pinks and reds. It was set outside right alongside the waterline. The wedding party made their entrance out of the reception room backdoors and down the stairs. Guests were seated on the lawn facing the water. During the ceremony the couple shared in a unique wine ceremony by blending a white and red. They then shared a drink from the combined glass. At the end of the ceremony Stephen traditionally smashed the glass. We captured the ceremony alongside our team at Erie Videography. The newlweds had opted to go with one of our Service Bundling Packages.

Following the ceremony was a beautiful and sentimental reception full of love and laughter. Our other team at Erie DJ Entertainment expertly controlled the flow of both the ceremony and then the reception by both coordinating, playing the couples favorite musical selections and making professional announcements. In addition to the music, Erie DJ Entertainment provided a star patten monogram light to celebrate how the couple met at a space related career. And beautiful, rich pink uplighting accented the hall and added to the vibrant wedding colors.

Sweet Wedding at Mound Grove- Vince & Becca

Sweet Wedding at Mound Grove- Vince & Becca

Vince & Becca

Wedding at Mound Grove in Waterford, Pa

Vince & Becca celebrated their early Summer Wedding at Mound Grove in Waterford, Pa. The most striking thing about this wedding for our team was that the bride handmade her own gown. She said she had to start again a few times because she didn’t want the groom to see it. He kept surprising her by returning home early. So, she’d scrap the design and begin again. Because she handmade the dress successfully, they opted to do an intimate first look before the ceremony. The couple chose to hold their outdoor ceremony on the lawn near the old farmhouse at the venue. This was as destination wedding for the couple who now reside in Oklahoma. They returned to the groom’s hometown to be wed. It was an intimate affair with close family & friends. In fact, the groom’s brother was licensed as an officiate just for the honor of marrying the two. Eve Frank, Wedding Planner with Erie Wedding & Event Services held a meeting with the officiate just to help calm his nerves as this was his first time out. The sun was gorgeous and the day warm. Perfect for an outdoor ceremony & Photos. The bride lovingly decorated the reception barn herself. She chose a variety of colorful flowers that brought the fresh feel of the warm summer day inside. Erie DJ Entertainment provided the entertainment for the remainder of the evening with music and uplighting.

Beautiful Wedding at Sparrow Pond- Cory & Kellsey

Cory & Kelsey

Wedding at Sparrow Pond in Waterford, Pa

Cory & Kellsey celebrated their early Summer Wedding at Sparrow Pond in Waterford, Pa. The couple chose to hold their outdoor ceremony directly in front of the adorable pond at the venue. The couple was surrounded by close family & friends. In fact, the groom’s brother was licensed as an officiate just for the honor of marrying the two. Eve Frank, Wedding Planner with Erie Wedding & Event Services held a meeting with the officiate just to help calm his nerves as this was his first time out. There was just a bit of a snag in the celebration as the sky opened up just as the officiate pronounced Cory & Kellsey husband & wife. While the rain slightly delayed some of the formal photos, it did not ruin the day. A lively reception followed at the VFW Club in Wesleyville Pa. Erie DJ Entertainment and Photo Booth by Erie Photo Booth provided the entertainment for the remainder of the evening. Shortly after meal service, the photo team was able to sneak back outside where the sun was shining to a cute little grassy lawn for more formal photos.
